On Today‚Äôs date at approximately 8:00 pm there were two robberies in the Fourth District; the first was at 4818 8th Street NE.  A citizen reports he was walking in the 4800 block of 8th street when two subjects approached him.  One subject displayed a gun and demanded his money, while the second subject served as a look-out.  The citizen compiled and $25 dollars was taken.  The suspects fled on foot and the citizen was not injured during this crime.
The second robbery was a few blocks away at 814 Buchanan Street NE; a citizen reports he was exiting a vehicle when another vehicle pulled up and a subject pulled a long black gun and demanded his money. The citizen complied and the suspect struck the citizen in the facial area and then jumped back into the get way vehicle. The vehicle fled east on Buchanan Street NE.
A lookout was given for a Dark blue vehicle occupied by two males leaving the scene of the Buchanan Street robbery. Units in the area observed a dark blue vehicle matching the description. As officers went to investigate, the vehicle fled into the Fifth District. Two occupants fled from the vehicle on foot in an attempt to elude the investigating officers. A perimeter was established and both subjects were located. A firearm was also recovered. It has been determined that the vehicle was reported stolen. Both subjects are under arrest and Detectives are investigating whether these subjects were involved in prior crimes.  Many thanks to the 4D units, Vice units, and 5D units that assisted with the apprehension of these two dangerous subjects.
