      Person of Interest in Multiple Robberies: 800 Block of Florida Avenue and 1600 Block of 8th Street, NW

        

      (Washington, DC)- The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating several persons of interest in connection with two robberies which occurred in the 800 block of Florida Avenue and 1600 Block of 8th Street, NW.

       

      On Monday, November 26, 2012, at approximately 7:30 pm, two male subjects approached a victim in the 800 block of Florida Avenue, NW and demanded his jacket. The subjects fled with the victim’s jacket.  In the second incident, at approximately 7:40 pm, three subjects entered a convenience store in the 1600 block of 8th Street, NW and attempted to steal various items before being confronted by the store’s owner.

      Subject 1: Black male, 5’9-5-10”, 16-17 years old, dark complexion, short/cropped hair style, slim build, dark puffy

       

      Subject 2: Black male, 5’11-6-00”, 16-17 years old, light complexion, unknown build, braided hair style, unknown pants, wearing a red jacket

       

      Subject 3: Black male, mid 20’s, wearing Army camouflage jacket

       

      Anyone with information that can assist in the identification of this subject is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
