      Person of Interest Sought in Armed Robberies: 500 Block of T Street, NW and the 2100 Block of 2nd Street, NW

        

      (Washington, DC)- The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a person of interest in connection with two armed robberies which occurred on Saturday, October 20th, 2012 at approximately 4:50 am, in the 500 block of T Street NW and on Sunday, October 21st, 2012 in the 2100 block of 2nd Street NW.

       

      On Saturday, October 20th, 2012, at approximately 4:50 am, three suspects approached four victims in the 500 block of T Street NW.  Two of the suspects displayed weapons and then robbed the victims of property.

       

      On Sunday, October 21st, 2012 in the 2100 block of 2nd Street NW, three suspects approached four victims in the 2100 block of 2nd Street NW.  One of the suspects displayed a weapon and ordered the victims to lie on the ground.  The victims complied and then were robbed of property.

       

      The suspects were wearing all dark clothing and armed with shotguns.  The suspects were operating a 2006-2008 Nissan Altima or Maxima with tinted windows and a DC tag that begins with the prefix "D."  

       

      Anyone with information that can assist in the identification of this subject is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
