True! That's why I wanted to remind my neighbors by kindly going door to door and (gently) reminding them/ alert them to the surge in bike thefts! I put my bikes inside last night! Sorry to you and to others who were victimized!

        Hi,

My bike was stolen this summer in June.I live in the 1100 block I posted flyers, (Laverder, Women's Bike) and called the police and gave them a picture. Never received it back. The thief or thieves jumped over a 6' locked fence in my back yard. The bikes were barely visible from the alley. So someone is doing some serious intentional snooping.

Fact is, according to the police, not much of anything they can do if the bike is not registered. I think Officer Johnson is the local officer responsible for our area.

My concern is when they've stolen all the bikes, what will they try next!

Sure. Its described as a black, red and white "Trek" brand bike. There was a bike rack in the back of the seat. Thanks!

I spoke just spoke with his son and pleaded that he beg his dad to please report the theft to the police!

What  kind/color of bike was it ? We could look out for it.

Ours were stolen in broad daylight (3 bikes stolen and after photos were given to police, one was recovered).

I have no problems making a flyer, but would love/ need assistance ($$) in making copies to distribute! I would need more or less 1000 to have an effective campaign of awareness. Bikes are definitely a hot commodity, but they belong in the hands of those who rightfully own them!
