To the Fifth District Community:
On Tuesday June 2, 2016, at approximately 1:30 pm, Fifth District units responded to the New York and Florida Ave., NE for a Robbery Snatch.
Officers were met by the complainant who stated he was approached by a male subject who was upset with him because he was blocking the alley. The complainant advised the suspect he would move momentarily. While the complainant was on his cell phone the suspect snatched property from the complainant and fled the scene. Upon arrival officers canvassed the area and located the suspect who was then positively identified. The suspect was arrested for Robbery Snatch.
This is another outstanding job by the Fifth District Officers and Detectives.
