      Want a safe, inexpensive, and enjoyable afternoon with friends and family? You are invited to join Police, Community Leaders, and Neighbors for the 28th Annual National Night Out in the Fifth District.  See you at the CAPS School or the other National Night Out events in our community on Tuesday, August 2, 2011

       

      Ward 5 Kick Off

      PSA 501, 502, 503, 504, 505 Join Fifth District Police, Civic and Government Officials on the Grounds of CAPCS School (formerly Armstrong) 1400 First St NW 6:30pm – 8:30pm Join us for Fun, Music, Safety Information, and Games

      Neighborhood Wacky Olympics and Zumba Dancing, Workshop on Community Impact Statements (USAO), Bike Ride on Metro Branch Trail with MPD and the Guardian Angels (ride starts at 7:00pm) Candle light vigil with the "Sons of Life" (starts at 8pm)

       

      PSA 502 Join the officers of as they spend National Night Out with the community.  Turkey Thicket Recreation Center , 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Bring your children and a folding chair/blanket the movie will start at 8:00 pm outside on the field.

       

      PSA 501 Join the Officers and the Franklin Commons Tenant & Civic Association for hot dogs, drinks, and snacks.  Give crime a "going away" party.   Come out and show solidarity in keeping the neighborhood safe at the Franklin Commons Play area, 100 block of Franklin Street, NE , Washington , DC . (Next to bldg. 123) 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

       

      PSA 503 Join Officers and The T.T.O.P. Block Club for the neighborhood walk with members from MPD.   Walk from 25th Perry Street NE (roundtrip) start at 6:30 pm

        National Night Out has proven to be an effective, inexpensive, and enjoyable program to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships in our fight for safer neighborhoods.
