If illegal activity is proven to occur on SOME property, I expect SOME to face criminal penalties as well (negligence???). Their operation offers no benefit

Gee, someone once dumped a stolen bike on my property. So glad I wasn't charged! The animosity toward this charity is disgusting. I understand reasonable requests that the organization be a better neighbor. However the lack of sympathy toward your greater (i.e. Few block) community should be embarrassing. The economy is tanking, people ate jobless, and some of them are hungry( haven't you heard? S.O.M.E. are feeding the hungry. What are you doing?

The police might want to start checking the parking lot of SOME during the night time to time. The dealers and thugs that had been hanging-out on the corner of first and O street have been using the parking lot of the SOME building on 71 O street NW now during the night.

I thought the name of the place was S.O.M.E. So Others Might Eat, not S.O.M.D. So Others Might Deal. The behavior of SOME is such that they are advocating and supporting the drug dealing on that block and in that neighborhood. Maybe they let it occur on their property so as to keep their number of "clients" up. What a perfect scenerio for them. Allow drug dealing on your property, bring more dealers, users into the area. Lots of drug users are homeless, thus more clients coming to SOME's door. This is the only reason I can think that they would be so tolerant of this and just ignore the request of the people around them. Don't forget SOME is a business, non profit or not they have their own motivations.

If it was a one time thing I would understand, but it is everyday. There is a difference between a stolen bike left in my yard and me storing stolen bikes every day.

It is EVERY day including right now. They hang out in the back of the parking lot under the overhang to get some shade from the heat while they hang out deal and drink.
