THIS MEETING IS HELD THE THIRD TUESDAY OF THE MONTH.
- Robbery Force and Violence:At 0600 hrs. on today's date and while standing in the 1300 block of New York Ave., NE, the Complainant reported he was approached by Suspects (1-4) when Suspect (1) stated to him that they were going to take his satchel from around his neck. Without provocation, the four suspects began striking the Complainant about his body causing him to fall to the ground scraping and injurying one of his knees. All four suspects made good their escape heading east on New York Ave., NE. The area around the listed location was canvassed for the suspects; however, the Complainant was unable to provide viable information on the suspects to aid MPD with making a successful apprehension.Anyone with information relevant to this crime can anonymously call 202) 727-9099.Safety Tip:For those constituents finding themselves outdoors at late and unsusual hours (still dark outdoors) try to stay in well lit areas if possible. Do not say and or make any sudden moves. Comply with the suspect(s) and at all poissible, try and take in as much information about the suspect(s).., clothing., to include feet wear, facial description., to include teeth (braces, gaps) and or tattoos. Body type., to include height and girth. Additionally, please be aware of your surroundings and what's beyond. If you are alone and find yourself walking toward a situation, your gut instinct will alert you. Either back track your steps or cross over if on the streets.
