Re: Gun Talk!?
- Again, you are absolutely right Gary, I certainly do not get how
anyone could misunderstood anything for what we were trying to say
here on the subject about protecting ourselves against harm that is
likely to come in anybody's direction especially in your own home.

I said "consider" a shotgun because if things get really bad the
police might not get there fast enough with their guns to protect
> Criminals run from police because they have guns and that is whywe call the police. Hopefully the drug boys don't have guns and they
did not mean anything when they shot at her house and hopefully the
police will stop the activity before it get any worse but that might
be too much to hope for.
> Having a firearm is a huge responsibility so one does need to becomfortable with all that it involves I understand that, but don't
make it seem that you don't believe in the safety that guns provide
because if police carried sticks you would not call them. And if our
neighbors in question were the types of neighbors that you invite
over to watch the game or sit with the children while you were out
we would not need this web site in the first place.

PSA 501 Lieutenant
- Welcome to 5D, Lieutenant Mejia. I suppose it might be 'good' policing news if we don't have to see you up north in PSA 504.But since many in the Fifth District already know Lt. Mejia from his diligent work with MPD's citywide Special Liaison Division, any day of the week is always a good day to see Carlos Mejia on the job. Residents and businesses in 501 are going to be well served. And I'll bet he'll raise the crime-fighting bar for the rest of us in 5D too.brian/PSA 504
