3-D VICE: Search Warrant Operation (Substantial Gun & Drug Recovery)
On today's date, at approximately 15:30 hours, members of your Third District VICE Unit executed a District of Columbia Superior Court Search Warrant at a residence located within the 700 block of Lamont Street, NW. This residence was a target of an ongoing 3-D VICE Narcotic & Weapon Investigation which stemmed from Intelligence gained directly from members of the concerned community.
As a result of this Search Warrant execution, a total of Seven (7) Adult Males & Females were arrested on various drug and firearm offenses. An unregistered semi-automatic pistol and a large amount of crack cocaine [Approx. 50+ grams = Street Value $4,000-5,000 dollars] was recovered from this residence, which had been operating as an  "Open Air Drug House".
It should be noted; This investigation was conducted and culminated from information gathered from concerned citizens who had simply observed suspicious activity that did not look normal to them (i.e. Large amounts of foot traffic, hand-to-hand transactions, suspects counting large amounts of cash out in the open ect...). Now while any of these observation may not constitute an illegal activity in and of themselves, the totality of all of these observations combined is surely consistent with that of possible drug activity.
This case should be a good reminder that "If You See Something....Say Something!"
Please feel free to forward any or all VICE complaints to the Third District VICE Tip Line at (202) 673-6925. Thanks & have a safe evening.
