      Well, I've been out of town the past few Sundays, and I was anticipating bulletin announcements yesterday and last week to call for volunteers for the upcoming Sept 27th Clothing and Kid Stuff Swap at Hope...however, it was not there either week. Please note that I WILL NOT PRESUME YOU ARE HELPING...please let me know that you are helping and when you would like to help. Remember also that collection weekends and the event sorting and actual event are great service opportunities for your small groups!!!

      Just to remind you: Collections will take place the weekends of September 13 & 14 and 20 & 21 - I need collectors before and after each of the 4 services; on Sundays, we'll be collecting at on- and off-site parking, so it really adds up to a need for 6 sets of volunteers per weekend. I'd like to schedule a couple people for each shift to avoid any "no-show" issues...so I'll need LOTS of collection volunteers!)  Last time, as some of you know, the event was canceled due to (a) a family health issue for me and (b) lack of volunteers...so please spread the word so there is lots of help this time.

      Also, I'll need a couple pick-up trucks and LOTS OF PEOPLE for unloading the storage units and setting up on Friday, Sept 26. Also, if anyone wants a flyer for their workplace or clubs, etc., please let me know and I'll be happy to provide you with one. Oh! AND START CLEANING OUT THOSE CLOSETS OF YOURS!

      Finally, we'll need some guys for security again this time, so please let me know if you know anyone who'd like to help with this. We'll be setting it up much like last time, with the "big ticket" kids/baby items behind tape and with a limit of 2 per family. I'm trying to figure out other ways to make the event better/safer, without limiting what God wants to do. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
