There were still about 110 mostly Snow Geese with a few Ross' Geese at Fairview Marsh, 9 miles S of Columbia Falls, on Saturday. Also 100s of Am. Coots, 1 Rough-legged Hawk, and 2 Red-tailed Hawks at the marsh, and a small flock of Mt Bluebirds near Fairview Cemetary. A N. Shrike was along George Lane about 4-5 miles S of Columbia Falls in the evening.

In Glacier Park today, Varied Thrushes were singing along the Lower McDonald Creek (Oxbow) Trail, a Pacific Wren sang a brief song, and a Ruffed Grouse flushed from the trailside. A W. Meadowlark was among a small group of Am. Robins and Dark-eyed Juncos, plus a E. Starling, a N. Flicker, a Hairy Woodpecker, and a Steller's Jay foraging on the lawns around the Lake McDonald Lodge. A couple of swans were well out on Lake McDonald, and a Common Loon was closer to the road.
