      Dave Lockman, compiler, reports to participants that the Stevensville Xmas Count on Dec. 29th, 2012, set a new record with 90 species counted. One new species for Count was Rusty blackbird, a female (Photographed after the count). No exceedingly rare species, although 4 species of owls, numerous raptors, diverse waterfowl and a new record number of participants were noted. Also a new record number of California quail -- nearly 800--found throughout the non-forested parts of the count circle. Cheers............Will
