      This link contains a summary of an interesting article on how climate change could be affecting timing of bird migration. The article was published last week in the Proceedings of the Royal Society Series B. Using a long-term data set with Black-tailed Godwits, the authors show that migration timing of individuals is consistent from year to year, but that nests are being initiated earlier and earlier. The young hatched in these earlier nests are migrating north sooner than their parents, with the result that the average timing of migration has become earlier.
