Similar to last year, we have a pair of Blue Jays eating peanuts in our backyard as of October 21.  When peanuts are not available, they will eat sunflower seeds (shell and all) from the feeders. The jays compete with the magpies for the peanuts that we place in small handfuls around the yard.  They jays seem to call for us in the morning if they don't find the peanuts out and about.  Our backyard borders the Sundance Trail open space, near the Good Medicine Way cul-de-sac.
