Meteye says 18C in Warburton and 10C at launch.
They expect SSE7kn in the LZ.
RASP says S8 in the bombout and at launch with SE4 at Base (6500ft)
And 500fpm thermals at 2pm and 200fpm at 5pm. No cloud cover.
I think it would be good to get to the launch by 2pm.
2 weeks ago Vic Roads emailed me that the Donnabuang-Healesville Rd should be open by now –
“Hi Steve,
It will be opened by this week.

T 03 9881 8040The LZ is about 500mm deep in grass and needs ribbons put around it. You need to contact Todd Wisewould for the gate combo. I think it was 3827.
Andy says it would be good to mow enough grass so that a few gliders can pack up without losing pack-up padding, pip pins, etc.
The launch might need a tidy up in the set up area – to get rid of fallen branches and bark, etc. Also ribbons would need to be placed on the end of the ramp.
And anyone with enough fortitude can battle with the plants to put up ribbons down the slope – below the ramp.
At this stage I’m not sure I’m going to feel tough enough to face low temps on launch and in the air. But if so, I’ll aim to be in the LZ by noon.
The LZ down a long bumpy track past a dam in a paddock next to the strawberry farm at 5 McNamaras Rd, Millgrove. It helps to ride share up the hill and have someone to take car owners back up at the end of the day.
