Many people are confused by the term 'African-American'
and are under the erroneous impression that the
term is a reference to a specific group having a
'solely' or 'mainly' so-called "black" admixture.

      Such thinking is completely incorrect.

Not only are the `African-Americans' not a "black"
(i.e. "mono"-racial) "race" group, they are not even a
"racial" group at all – in fact, they are actually a very
unique and specific multiracial "ethnic" group.

      The phrase 'African-American' is a reference –
not to issues of "race admixture", but rather, to the
' Middle Passage' experience of their ancestors

(i.e. They are descendents of the
      people who were unwillingly taken
      "From" AFRICA -"To" AMERICA ---
      a.k.a. 'The Middle Passage') .

The name given for the "ethnic" group known as
`African-American', is actually based on and
      a descriptor for a specific `Historical Experience'.

Contrary to popular myth, the term `African-American'
was not given in reference to types, amounts, quantums,
percentages, or timing of their `racial admixture'
(in other words, it is not accurate to claim
that all or even most of them are solely' or
      even `mainly' "black" (i.e. "mono"-racial)
–as they are clearly a number of combinations
of MIXED lineaged and have been so
      THROUGHOUT their multiple generations..

      The "historical experience" which `unites'
this "ethnic" group is that -- they are

"THE DESCENDENTS OF THE SURVIVORS OF THE
      MATRILINEAL-BASED NEGRO CHATTEL-SLAVERY
`SYSTEM' ON THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES
OF AMERICA DURING THE ANTEBELLUM PERIOD".

      Three things must be remembered
      about this `Historical Experience':

      1) It is a reference to a slavery-`System'
(as not all of their `negro' ancestors were
slaves – however, all of them had to survive
the `rules' of the socially-constructed system)

      2) The application of `slavery' was `matrilineal',
not `patri-lineal' (which -- obviously -- put the
`sexual protection' of the slave women in much
danger, particularly from the `overseers' of the system)

      3) The system was based on `chattel' slavery,
and not on the more mild `indentured servitude'.

      4) The time period and geographical location being
referred to for the `historical experience' of this
particular "ethnic" group is the `antebellum period'
and the `continental United States of America'
(as the concept of `slavery systems' has
taken place in multiple forms throughout the
world and throughout the history of mankind').

      An added note:

It's generally non-African-Americans who think the
      `ethnicity' is `black'-raced (i.e. "mono"-racial) – as
most African-Americans know, without doubt, that
they are a tri-racial people and are not "mono"-racial
at all (even if some, on an individual basis, choose to
      `identify' as being a part of a "mono"-racial grouping).

The people of the African-American MIXED-raced "ethnicity"
are the only group found anywhere in the United States (or even
worldwide) wherein the application of the racist `one-drop' rule
is openly (and shamelessly) and obviously erroneously applied.
