MetaCard IDE

A home for the MetaCard IDE, an open source alternative development environment for Revolution's Transcript programming language.

**** PLEASE ADD YOUR VOTE TO THE USAGE POLL ****

It's all we ask to keep us motivated to enhance the MC IDE

Using Metacard

To run MetaCard you need two things:

The MetaCard IDE

You can download the latest release build or any of the in-progress review builds using the Files link at left.

Revolution engine

The engine that drives the MC IDE is Runtime Revolution. The latest version is available at runrev.com.
After downloading, you'll need to place the engine into the MetaCard folder, renaming it to "mc.exe" on Windows, "MetaCard" on Mac Classic, and "mc" on Linux. On OS X you need to copy the executable from the the Revolution bundle in Revolution.app/Contents/MacOS/Revolution to MetaCard.app/Contents/MacOS/MetaCard

Even easier, check out Jacque Gay's one-click installer in the Files section, metacard_setup10.mc.zip.

Discussing MetaCard

The MetaCard discussion list has been serving the community for many years, and is the best place to post questions and suggestions about the MetaCard IDE.
