Group Description

The purpose of this group is to provide a place for sharing information related to those who foster animals belonging to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter Foster Program in Conroe, TX.

This site will allow fosters to help one another with the challenges of raising healthy and well-socialized foster animals and provide a centralized location for MCAS staff to post messages regarding animals with an immediate need.

This includes foster parents seeking other foster parents for assistance during times of vacation, sickness or any situation where foster care is needed. All members may post on the board informing others when an immediate need for foster or rescue is required. Since all animals at the shelter can be fostered, a description of those requiring immediate need would be (but not limited to): sick, injured, too young, seniors, long term, unsocialized, breed specific, etc.

Current fosters and those interested in becoming a foster are welcome to join this group. Rescue organizations seeking to pull animals from the shelter are asked to join our group as well. We understand rescue and foster go hand in hand.

Messages on this list pertain soley to MCAS animals. This is not a conversation board outside the topic of MCAS animals. We are not seeking discussions about the shelter or staff. Those may be shared through other venues.

This Group is simply a resource to provide one centralized location for foster parents to communicate with each other and the staff at MCAS. Our goal is to better serve you and the animals at the shelter.
