Crunchy Butterscotch Cookies
- Crunchy Butterscotch Cookies
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup vegetable shortening
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup hard butterscotch candies -- crushed
Preheat the oven to 375F.
Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream the vegetable shortening and
two sugars. Beat in the eggs. Beat in the milk and
vanilla extract. Gradually blend in the dry
ingredients. Fold in the candies.
Drop the dough by spoonfuls 1 1/2 inches apart onto
ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until lightly colored.
Transfer to wire racks to cool.
