Our goal is to reduce waste by offering items to others instead of throwing them away. No item is too big or small but it must be completely free (no trading), legal, and appropriate for all ages.
How does the Freecycle movement work?
Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, magazines, or an old door to be given away, it can be posted on the network. Or, maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself? Respond to the posting directly and you just might get it. After that it is up to the giver to set up a pickup time for passing on the treasure.
Please refer to the subscription information (sent to you after joining) for a list of the group's guidelines before placing your first post.
All messages *must* contain one of the following keywords in the subject line: OFFER, TAKEN, WANTED or RECEIVED.
YOU MAY ONLY POST ONE "WANTED" MESSAGE PER WEEK.
YOU MAY ONLY ASK FOR ONE ITEM PER WANTED MESSAGE.
YOU MAY ONLY REQUEST THE SAME ITEM ONCE A MONTH.
There is no chat or off-topic material (religion, politics etc) allowed on this group.
FYI - we recommend you save all emails you receive in response to your offer so that you can contact another person if the first person you chose does not pick the item up.
