- Jul 5, 2010Just got back from 6 days on the beach at Montauk.Great weather, and had great neighbors. On Jul 5, 2010, at 10:55 AM, Desiree wrote:
We have a Mastiff that comes camping with us and last year, she scratched the screen up when we left her in the camper for a while. We replaced the screen over the spring and were good this week with blocking the door when we left her in there, except for once - and that's all it took. She scratched up the new screen.
So, I will be replacing that screen again, but this time I will be buying a piece of Lexan to velcro over the bottom screens of the two doors in the camper so she can't scratch them. Then just take it off when we are there and need the breeze.
We also had a huge problem with losing our camping keys this week - where's my keys? Where's his keys? So I am going to put up 3 hooks for the keys - one for him, one for me and one for my son. Hopefully that will help.
Cabela's is offering their Trekker Fold-a-Privy for $40 til tomorrow and I think I'm going to make the splurge. It's a pop up privacy shelter than can be used as a changing room, potti room or a shower. It has a port hole for the shower line to come through from the camper. My main use for it will probably be as a changing room and a beach sand shower. The majority of mess in the camper is the sandy bathing suits hitting the floor when the kids get changed. If they have this changing room, they can change in their and hit the sand with the outdoor shower - all in privacy. I hope it'll be worth the price. I'll let you all know how it works out after we have it and have been using it. There's a few things that I thought were "must have" and they don't get used at all. I hope this isn't one of those things.
How has everyone else's season been going?
