      CONGRATULATIONS!
      To
      Mrs. EVA CALDERON

Mrs. Eva Calderon is definitely someone you should know. She is an
outstanding example of a community leader and mentor. Because of
that, the Logan Square Neighborhood Association nominated her for the Ninth Annual Mercedes Mentor Award. Mrs. Calderon was among 300 applicants and 1 of 5 winners.

Mrs. Calderon is not an ordinary woman. She is a special, hard working,
loving and inspirational friend to many of us throughout the community.
When you meet Mrs. Calderon for the very first time, you may find yourself
learning a lesson on the importance of loving your neighbor and forgiving
      your enemies.

Unfortunately, 10 years ago Mrs. Calderon suffered the loss of her husband
and son in a fatal air-crash over Indiana. However, despite this and Mrs.
Calderon's many obstacles throughout her life, she has managed to remain
determined, focused, and dedicated to her family, job, and community.

Mrs. Calderon fills her day constantly caring for others and giving her
all toward making someone's day better.

      Accomplishments:

In 1997, Mrs. Calderon was placed in charge of the Parent Mentor Program
at Mozart School in Logan Square.
Mrs. Calderon opened a "Parent Lending Library".

Mrs. Calderon is looked up to by many women at Mozart School. It is because of her sincerity, her compassion, her understanding, and her leadership that many women have become involved in the Parent Mentor Program there.

It gives me great pride to know that Eva Calderon is our neighbor here in Logan Square.

      CONGRATULATIONS!
      To
      Mrs. EVA CALDERON
