Group Description

I'm a registered Republican. I like what the Party claims to be about. Unfortunately, what the party is supposed to represent doesn't seem well represented among current Republicans in office. Currently, it seems more like the Republican't party. Any Republican true to the Party's roots is gonna vote for Ron Paul in 2008. Other than the fact that he is by far the most popular candidate when grass-roots are polled, -he's also the closest thing to a "real Republican" -based on the original Republican platform. This is so clearly obvious that to argue against it would be to argue against the existence of gravity.
Of course, Log Cabin Republicans have a long history of thinking outside "the box" (in addition to being marginalized). As a man who identifies my sexuality as g0y (spelled w. a ZER0), -as opposed to "gAy", -I'm also accustomed to "thinking different". The g0y men's movement makes LCRs seem like drag queens by comparison! Yeah, although we're primarily [LP.org] minded, we are generally, very conservative, personally. We believe that Log cabin Republicans aren't as nearly effective because they've allowed the "liberal-left" to define "GAY" within the public psyche, and then tried to apply that liberal, lawless set of public stigmas into the incompatible conservative philosophy of the Republican platform. See, it's not that you're men who love men. It's that you're men who fraternize with the 'enemy of ethics' - the 'gay community'. And it makes you look like hypocrites, or stricken with a form of "self-defeating stupid syndrome". Meanwhile, there is a growing men's movement called "g0y", full of men from many political parties (globally) who are generally more conservative than LCRs!
So, if you're a LCR, & you're tired of being marginalized, maligned & misunderstood: Consider replacing "GAY" with "G0Y". It'll get people asking the right questions, help recover your masculine respect, & clearly delineate the differences between attractions vs. behaviors! G0Y!
