      CMSGT Richard Carrig,

Dick passed away in Olympia Washington 4th of March 2009.

Dick started flying as a Loadmaster in 1964 at Forbes AFB Kansas.

He would go on to be the McChord ALCE Chief Loadmaster.

Dick was also the Senior Enlisted Advisor at McChord for a number of years and later served in a high level position at MAC Headquarters, Scott AFB IL.

Dick was an exceptional leader and was praised by Enlisted and Officers alike.

He was a Vietnam Vet with many combat missions.

After serving in the Air Force he went on to run a multi-million dollar business in the Olympia Tacoma area. He was succesful in everything he touched.

He had been in poor health for the last 2 years. He had cancer and both kidneys were non-functioning. He kept a positive outlook and truly believed he would be Elk Hunting in the fall.

Details to follow pertaining to Memorial services,

      times and dates.
