I need help getting NFS working between my Linux box and the LS.

I downloaded the kurobox.com binaries and installed the portmap,
      nfs-common, and nfs-user-server pieces. I configured /etc/exports,
      /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny (per NFS-HOWTO).

When I try a mount from my Linux box, the mount appears to hang.
Meanwhile, on the LS, I see the following messages repeating:

      Dec 21 15:59:56 HD-HLAN141 mountd[2496]: NFS mount of /mnt attempted
      from 192.168.2.17
      Dec 21 15:59:56 HD-HLAN141 mountd[2496]: /mnt has been mounted by
      192.168.2.17

I infer from this that the LS-side configuration is correct. Even
though I used mount -v on the client side, I got no output, and I
can't figure out what's happening (or isn't happening).

      Here's my /etc/exports:
      /mnt
      192.168.2.0/255.255.255.0(ro,all_squash,anonuid=65534,anongid=65534)

Here's the mount command I used:
      # mount -t nfs -v -v -o ro 192.168.2.98:/mnt /mnt/tmp

      TIA for any insights.
