      A one-day special event in Nagoya, Japan, on 24th March 2007

      This one-day event considers the role of podcasting and mobile
      learning devices in foreign language learning. How is podcasting being
      used in the language classroom? How have mobile learning devices
      (phones, PDAs, digital music players) promoted autonomous language
      learning? How are Web 2.0 technologies (wikis, blogs, podcasts)
      affecting second language acquisition?

      Papers are being accepted for the afternoon's parallel sessions.
      Themes to be addressed are:

      * podcasting and language learning
      * Web 2.0 technologies and the language classroom
      * social software
      * wikis
      * mobile learning for language learning


      Abstracts of not more than 350 words for papers lasting 30 minutes
      should be sent with a title to: michael.thomas@... by 30th
      December. Participants will be notified of their acceptance by no
      later than January 15th 2007.
