Just a quick update to let you know about the latest new articles on
DEFINITION PLUS COLLOCATION IN VOCABULARY TEACHING AND LEARNING
Definition is concerned with establishing a single word's meaning, whereas
collocation takes definition for granted and is concerned with the words
that typically appear with any particular word: the verbs that might occur
with a noun, for example. Such collocational information often enables a
word to be used.
ANALYSING A SUCCESSFUL LANGUAGE LEARNING EXPERIENCE
On a trip home to California via London this summer my seatmate was a lovely
young woman from Australia, a special education teacher who worked with deaf
children. As I have always wanted to learn to sign, I asked her if she would
