      Hello!
It's great to know that my dear friend Jennifer is here! I attend most of her webinars and her f2f sessions.
She introduced me the Webheads and she teaches me about lots of wonderful online resources.
      Welcome aboard dear Jen!
      Smiles from Cordoba,
      Maria :)

      Smiles, Maria

Subject: [LearningTechnologiesSIG] A warm welcome to two new members of the LTSIG Yahoo Group

May I extend a warm welcome to two new members of this Yahoo Group, two great colleagues who are very well known to most of us.

Joe Dale is an independent consultant who works with a range of organisations such as TES, Network for Languages, ALL, The British Council, the BBC, Skype, Microsoft and The Guardian. He is a recognised expert on technology and language learning and has spoken at conferences and run training courses in Europe, North America, the Far East and Australia. He was a member of the Ministerial Steering Group on languages for the current UK government and was short-listed for a NAACE Impact Award in 2013 too. Joe was recently described in a Guardian article as an 'MFL guru' and 'the man behind the #mfltwitterati.' Follow @joedale on Twitter and check out his award winning blog www.joedale.typepad.com.

Joe recently appeared on a panel discussion (Rethinking the way we learn) at Reform Symposium RSCON4 and I personally admired Joe a lot for his knowledgable and research founded answers compared to some of the 'light-hearted' American comments.

Jennifer Verschoor is an EFL teacher specialised in online teaching, mobile learning and training via virtual learning environments. Recently completed her MA in Virtual Environments. She has extensive experience as a teacher trainer  both face-to-face and online. She obtained scholarships from WorldCALL, Norwich Institute for Language Education, The Consultants-e and IATEFL. Currently, she is working as a teacher trainer for the British Council, English Speaking Scholastic Association of the River Plate, SBS International and Programa E-ducadores validated by Universidad Tecnológica Nacional. She is the co-author of "My first digital journey" an e-book for young learners published by The Round.

Jennifer is a new member to the LTSIG and we appreciate her work in Argentina as a pioneer,  a strong fighter and a very busy bee in the name of learning technologies with a BIG heart for fellow language educators. Jennifer also is also co-organizer of the Virtual Round Table Web Conference and recently has become a committee member of WorldCALL.

A warm welcome to both of them.

      rgds Heike
