Group Description

Learning Abled Kids is a support group for homeschooling parents of bright children who struggle with learning or parents who are considering homeschooling.

If you need specific advice about how to homeschool your child, or just need to find a place where people understand your child's struggles, Learning Abled Kids is a great place to be. Please join us!

If you are not a homeschooling parent and you are not considering homeschooling, please be aware:

1) LearningAbledKids does not work on public or private school issues. If you are having problems with your child's school, there are more appropriate support groups, which are focused on school advocacy. Search Yahoo! Groups for IEP help, Special Education advocacy, or other related issues.

2) LearningAbledKids' is not a group for professionals, teachers, students doing research, companies wanting insights into the homeschool community, etc. The parents within the group have expressed an interest in not being the subject of research or observation, nor to have companies trying to sell them programs or products (we have a strict "no solicitation" policy in the group), or to have professionals judging their teaching decisions.

Additional information and resources can be found at: http://learningabledkids.com/ or through my books at: http://www.amazon.com/Sandra-Cook/e/B00BFSXWWE/. We also have a Facebook-based support group, if you prefer to join there..
