      veniunt.

Why are married women heavier than single women? Single wome come
home, see what's in the fridge and go to bed. Married women come home,
see what's in bed and go to the fridge.

stellarum in universo, ei credes, at si idem tibi docuerit parietem
      fias?

Why is it that if someone tells you that there are 1 billion stars in
the universe you will believe them, but if they tell you a wall has
wet paint you will have to touch it to be sure?

Ecce! Deus ei bracchia valida atque crura fortia dedit, quibus, post
duas horas ubi bis prope demersus est, tandem flumen tranare potuit.
his visis, secundus Deum est precatus dicens, 'te Deum obsecro, des
Ecce! Deus
eum lintre donavit qua trans flumen duabus horis remigare potuit,
postquam lintrem bis tantum non everterat.
tertius iam certior de re factus ope experientiae alienae, quoque
Deum adorat dicens, 'te Deum obsecro ut mihi des robur,
instrumenta.... necnon intellegentiam... ut flumen transeam. at ecce
tertio! Deus eum in feminam mutavit quae tabulam geographicam
inspexit, juxta ripam adversum flumen ducentos passus ambulavit,
        deinde via pontis trajecit.

One day, three men were hiking and unexpectedly came upon a large
raging, violent river. They needed to get to the other side, but had
no idea of how to do so. The first man prayed to God, saying, "Please
God, give me the strength to cross this river." Poof! God gave him
big arms and strong legs, and he was able to swim across the river in
about two hours, after almost drowning a couple of times.
Seeing this, the second man prayed to God, saying, "Please God, give
me the strength and the tools to cross this river." Poof! God gave
him a rowboat and he was able to row across the river in about an
hour, after almost capsizing the boat a couple of times.
The third man had seen how this worked out for the other two, so he
also prayed to God saying, "Please God, give me the strength and the
tools...and the intelligence... to cross this river." And poof! God
turned him into a woman. She looked at the map, hiked upstream a
couple of hundred yards, then walked across the bridge.

            Eduardus Mariae Christophero gregalibusque sal.:

            Maria ratione scripserat:

eas in lingua Latina legam. Quid ceteri putent nescio, at mea
sententia eas fabulas in Anglorum sermonem aliquando non vertere
possis, ut in lingua Latina nos exercere cogemur. Vale."

aliquid simplicius (immo melius) omnino latine conscriptum. mihi sunt
multi textus vetustiores (ante primum bellum mundanum vulgo
editi, quibus iam pridem jura auctoris exierunt) quos fortasse hic
exscribere possim si ullis vestrum interfuerit.

            valete

              Meus epistularum scriptores,

Theologiae et Linguae Latinae discipulus sum. Lingua Latina mihi difficilis
est sed necesse theologiam antiquam cognoscere. Itaque vobis scribere
rogans clementiam dum ad progressum laboro.

Aliquid dicere debeo de fabula sed debilitas me vetat. Solus: Deus ab
initio masculum et feminam eos fecit?

              Pax vobis.
