Help develop a set of sensible design criteria--both desired and required--for such a lathe, and then help look at how these requirements might possibly be effected in a manufactured product to produce an affordable hobbiest lathe. Essentially, what we will be doing, is developing the Requirements Document portion of the Initial Marketing Research package that a manufacturer always develops in order to decide whether a market exists for a product that they can manufacture--in this instance a lathe--that will be profitable for them and affordable to us, the home metal shop hobbiests.
