I have an HP Pavilion ZT1145 with a display problem. The screen
flickering to one degree or another - it can be made tolerable with
setting the screen to a lower position but there is still a flicker. I
have taken it twice to be fixed. The 2nd repair guy showed me the
problem which I believe has re-occurred.
There is a connector under the display bezel which comes loose. The
second repair guy put some electrical tape on it to hold it together.
That lasted until the next day when it became progressively worse
I removed the 4 screws then downloaded the repair manual which states
" Beginning at the top center of the display, carefully pry up the
inner edge of the bezel with thumbs and fingers. Work your way around
the inside edge to unsnap the latches, then remove the bezel from the
Easy to say!
Any hints on the 'carefully pry up the inner edges' part?
I have contacted HP who tell me to take it to the local repair centre
to have it checked. I live quite far away and would rather re-check
this myself befroe I drive the distance.
