      TRYING TO GAIN MORE PROFOUND MEANINGS FROM SYMBOLS, SCRIPTURAL
      TERMINOLOGY FROM A VERSE OR VERSES OF THE QURAN FROM MYTHOLOGICAL
      STORIES OR FROM OTHER SCRIPTURE. ALL OF THESE QUESTIONS WILL NOT
      BE RELEVANT TO EVERYTHING ONE MAY CONSIDER AS REQUIRING

      THE BEST ANSWER IS THE ONE GIVEN DIRECTLY FROM THE QURAN.

      DEFINITIONS OF QURANIC TERMS ARE GIVEN TO QURANIC WORDS BY THE WAY
      THEY ARE USED IN THE QURAN.

      SEARCH THROUGHOUT THE QURAN TO SEE EVERY WAY THAT A PARTICULAR TERM
      IS USED.

      REFERENCES TO "UP" SHOULD BE SEEN IN QUALITY.

      (RELATIVE TO SOMETING POINTED TO BY A SCRIPTURE) HOW COULD THINGS
      HAVE BEEN STATED OTHERWISE? WHY . WEREN'T THEY?

      IS IT SPEAKING TO A CERTAIN CONDITION IN HUMAN BEINGS OR IN SOCIETY?
      WHAT DOES THE TERM OR SYMBOL SPEAK TO (POLITICS? MORALS? CULTURE?,
      RELIGION?, ECONOMICS? ETC.)

      RELATE PATTERNS OF ESTABLISHED IDEAS TO OTHER NEW PATTERNS.



      IS THERE A PATTERN IN WHICH THE TERM OR THE SYMBOL IS FOUND THAT
      ASSOCIATES IT WITH SOMETHING ELSE?

      RELATE PATTERNED VERSES TO EACH OTHER (e.g., the creation and the
      command and to Allah belongs the east and the west)

      W DEEN MOHAMMED FOCUSES FIRST ON THE NATURAL ASPECTS OF THE TERM OR

      THE SYMBOL BEEN USED HISTORICALLY IN THE SYMBOLIC LANGUAGE OF MAN
      (GREEK, EGYPTIAN MYTHOLOGY AND THE BIBLE'S ALLEGORICAL LANGUAGE AND
      STORIES)

      THERE IS A PROGRESSION IN THE NATURAL HISTORY OF MAN THROUGH
      REVELATION. CONSEQUENTLY, SCRIPTURE TAKES INTO ACCOUNT WHAT MAN HAS
      COME TO BELIEVE (TRUE OF FALSE). WHEREFORE, INTERPRETATION MUST
      ALSO DO THE SAME.

      TIE THE SYMBOL BACK TO IT'S EXPERESSION IN PREVIOUS SCRIPTURE.
      DETERMINE WHETHER IT WAS ESTABLISHED (COMPLETED). DETERMINE WHAT WAS
      IT'S "CONDITION" IN PREVIOUS SCRIPTURE

      WHERE DOES THE TERM OR SYMBOL UNDER DISCUSSION ORIGINATE? AND WHERE
      DOES IT'S EFFECT FIRST MANIFEST IN HUMAN EVOLUTION (INDIVIDUALLY,
      SOCIALLY OR HISTORICALLY)?

      WHAT IS THE COMMON THREAD OF THE TERMINOLOGY, TERM OR THE SYMBOL AND
      WHAT IS THE CONTEXT OF IT'S REVELATION (CAUSE OF THE EVENT)
      HISTORICALLY, (i.e. in concrete reality)?

      WHERE DOES THE SYMBOL, TERM OR AY AT HAVE AN EFFECT OR REFLECTION IN
      THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE?

      THE QURAN RESPECTS WHAT MAN HAS BEEN DEVOTED TO AND HOLDS SACRED.
      IT RESPECTS MAN'S PRIDE (OF INTELLECT).

      WHAT IS THE PHYSICAL LITERAL OR DIRECT REALITY
      (DESCRIPTION/DEFINITION) OF THE "SUBJECT" (SYMBOL OR TERM) IN
      QUESTION?



      THE FIRST THING IS TO PERCEIVE THE SYMBOL AS AN OBJECT WITH CONCRETE
      CHARACTERISTICS AND QUALITIES; AND SEE IT IN IT'S CONCEPT, ROLE,
      FUNCTION AND APPLICATION IN MAN'S LIFE.

      MAN MUST HAVE A SENSITIVITY FOR THE SOUND OF WORDS (e.g.,
      IMPLICATION OF "SOUNDING CLAY" FAKHAR, CAN BE RELATED ALSO TO
      FAKARA "TO REFLECT"; ALSO THE SOUND OF THE ARABIC TERMS FOR CENTURY
      (MIAT) AND DEATH (MATE) CAN BE RELATED TO THE HADITH ABOUT THE
      MUJEDDID).

      EVERY EVOLUTION IS CONNECTED

      IS THERE A DIFFERENT __EXPRESSION IN THE USE OF THIS SYMBOL, TERM IN
      THE QURAN? THEIR RECONCILIATION IS THROUGH INTERPRETING THEM IN A
      DIFFERENT CONTEXT. THE BEST UNDERSTANDING OF A TERM OR SYMBOL IS AS
      IT IS DEFINED BY THE QURAN (e.g., "THE DAY IS FOR VISION AND
      LIVELHOOD" DAY (AS A SYMBOL) = VISION AND LIVELIHOOD)

      THE ORIENTATION YOU TAKE IN INTERPRETATION DEPENDS ON YOUR POINT OF
      DEPATURE.

      SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO IGNORE PARTS OF SPEECH IN THE ARABIC OR
      ENGLISH IN ORDER TO GET THE BETTER TRANSLATION BECAUSE THEY HAVE
      DIFFERENT RULES OF GRAMMAR.

      EVERYTHING IS IN PAIRS (i.e., heaven and earth also can represent
      two types of spirituality heavenly and earthly).

      WHEN A SCRIPTURAL ITEM'S REALITY IS OBVIOUS THEN THE REAL MEANING
      FOR OUR DEVELOPMENT AND EDIFICATION IS THROUGH INTERPRETING IT TO
      SOME HIGHER QUALITY IN THE NATURE OF MAN (e.g. " in no way is the
      male like the female" the wisdom is not that men and women are
      different but that the activity in the intellect (dhakara) is not
      like the activity in the soul (untha))

      LOGIC IS THE UNITY OF THE INTEGRATED OR COMPOSITE WHOLE OF THE
      CREATION.



      WAS THE TERM OR THE SYMBOL A THING APPROVED OR DISAPPROVED BY ALLAH

      WHAT DOES THE TERM OR SYMBOL REFER TO FIRST?




      SURA 41:

      44. Say: "It (the Qur'an) is a Guide and a Healing to those who
      believe; and for those who believe not, there is a deafness in their
      ears, and it is blindness in their (eyes): They are (as it were)
      being called from a place far distant!"

      49. Man does not weary of asking for good (things), but if ill
      touches him, he gives up all hope (and) is lost in despair.

      53. Soon will We show them our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of
      the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to
      them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth
      witness all things?
