      And I cannot believe that "taxation is theft" can be countered by using
      words like dues or charges instead of tax - are "they" so stupid indeed ?
      That fuels my disdain for these barbarians until I see their convincing
      proposals to organise humanity without too much chaos and poverty.

      Dan and others have already addressed most of this quite
      well. Georgist founders adapted the Libertarian Party
      adage "Taxation is theft" from the Socialist slogan
      "Property is theft". Very sad neolibertarian (their
      preferred self-referential term is "anarchocapitalist")
      usurpers have largely perverted common libertarian
      understanding of it. Nevertheless, stupid response or
      not, calling community collection of site value dues
      a "tax" can be quite off-putting to libertarians,
      and doesn't aid in dispelling Robert W. Poole and
      Margaret Thatcher-type privatizers' misunderstanding
      and outright denial of public or common goods.
