      Smart idea to join forces around the adjacent Paseo de San Antonio
      between First & Market St, San Jose, CA.

      The music summer celebration takes place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
      every Saturday, starting this week and running through July 31.

      Wally's Swing World will be providing some snazzy music for the festivities.
      And the weather's pretty great to sit in the paseo and soak up the sun.

      The 56th Annual North Beach Festival
      In its 56th year, The North Beach Festival is considered one of the country's
      original outdoor Festivals.

      The event is situated in the historic North Beach District, known to locals
      and visitors alike as San Francisco's Little Italy and the home of the famed
      beat generation. The Festival site includes numerous quaint streets and
      the beautiful Washington Square park in the heart of the district.

      The 2010 event will feature three stages of live entertainment.
      Chalk art and special Sand Castle will happen on Vallejo Street.

      (Fête de la Musique)
      World Music Day is a free music festival that takes
      place in cities around the world every year close to the Summer Solstice.
      In Palo Alto, professional and amateur musical groups will perform
      a wide variety of musical genres on street corners and plazas: jazz,
      pop, rock, classical, world music, choirs, etc.
      All performances will be FREE and open to the public.
      Last year the event had 42 musical groups and attracted about 8,000 people…
      but we expect more this year!
