Lambeth Public Transport Question Time Tomorrow Thurs 12 July 7:30pm
- Tomorrow there is a meeting of the Clapham and Stockwell Town Centre Forum
It will be discussing transport issues. It will take the form of a question
time debate with speakers from the main Lambeth transport organisations.
It would be good to have a large cyclist presence to ask the awkward
questions about cycling provision, highlight the role bikes play in any
integrated transport solution and prove that motorists aren't the only group
The meeting is tomorrow evening (Thurs 12 July) at 7:30 pm in St. Mary's
Church Hall, St Alphonsus Rd, SW4 (near Clapham Park Road)

LAMBETH BOROUGH COUNCIL
Question Time comes to Clapham
Come and have your say in a Question Time session at Clapham on Thursday
July 12th at St. Mary's church hall on St. Alphonsus rd, SW4. The theme for
the evening will be public transport in Clapham and beyond.
There will be a wide range of organisations represented on the panel
including Stockwell bus garage, Lambeth public transport group, London
underground northern line, Connex , and Lambeth's public and community
So, if you want to have your say about the state of bus or tube services
locally, or you have a burning suggestion on how these services can be
improved, then come along to the meeting.
The forum will be run along the lines of the popular Question Time
programme, with attendees invited to submit questions, or to take the mike
in order to put queries or concerns to the panel. If the appropriate person
to answer your question is not available on the night, then your query will
be put in writing and sent to the correct person.
If you would like to take a longer term interest in your local area and have
a desire to be amongst local opinion formers, than why not put yourself or
someone else forward as a candidate for election to a place on the Clapham
and Stockwell town centre board.
The successful nominee will join board members to act as a voice for local
people feeding concerns about local issues to the council, and calling out
the relevant officers to public meetings so that local issues can be openly
and often hotly debated and local feedback gathered.
For more information and a nomination form, contact the town centre office
on 020 7926 0765. Nominations close on July 11th at 5pm.
The 'Question Time' event begins at 7.30pm and takes place at St. Mary's
Church Hall, St Alphonsus Rd, SW4 at 7.30pm.
