Breathing on optics of any kind is not to be recommended as the breath carries dissolved body lubricants which cause very fine smearing.

I use a homemade cleaning solution (made from distilled water, alcohol,and very small amounts of Dawn dishwashing and photoflo. ) i rinse with distilled h2o .
