Between 7:45-8:00 a.m. on Monday, June 29, at least two young males in this neighborhood were approached by a man trying to lure them into his car.
A teenager walking his dog in the 400 block of N. Irving encountered a male motorist, who asked, "Do you want a puppy," then drove slowly while making other comments apparently intended to lure the child into his car.
And, a young adult in the 300 block of N. Bronson reported a similar approach as he stood in front of his house.
Both described the man as around 50-years-old, apparently of Asian descent, dark hair, clean-cut in appearance, wearing a white shirt and glasses with rimless, clear, rectangular lenses.
He was driving an old, red, two-door Japanese car, possibly a Honda or an Acura, with tan interior and with a white and brown plush toy dog on the rear window shelf.
The police have been notified.
