On Thursday, August 23, at 6:00 p.m., the U. S. Postal Service will hold a community meeting on the proposed relocation of the Nat King Cole/Oakwood post office. (If the relocation is approved, the USPS would probably sell its current buillding at 265 S. Western and would lease a smaller facility nearby. The new location has not yet been chosen, but the Postal Service says it is seeking a site as close to the current one as possible for post office boxes and retail service. Letter carrier operations would be consolidated into the Los Feliz Sstation.)

The meeting will be held at the Pio Pico Koreatown Public Library, 694 S. Oxford Ave. If you cannot attend the meeting, public comments can be sent to Diana Alvarado, Pacific Facilities Service Office, U.S. Postal Service, 1300 Evans Ave., Ste. 200, San Francisco, CA 94188-8200.
