Where-as the GMail Tap application may have been a great April fool joke…. there really is a CW app that replaces the qwerty keyboard on your cell phone. I have it on my Android phone and have used it. It is called “Morse Code Keyboard”. It has only four active keys – Da, Dit, space, and backspace (try backspace on your Bencher). On an Android phone it can be downloaded from the “Play Store” – it’s free! To make it your default keyboard (replacing qwerty) – go to; Settings> Language & Keyboard> Input Methods> Select – “Morse Keyboard. This path is for the Gingerbread OS – yours may be slightly different. The app is slow – so if you are a ±25 wpm coder don’t bother except for the “look at this” value. It is relatively slow but works! Have fun.
