> I'm sending out a reminder about the meeting tomorrow, Saturday, December 8, 1-3 p.m., at Fire Station #6. We're getting community input on a new biking/walking path in South Lansing.
> Options include a path through Benjamin Davis Park, linking the park via trail with the new Southside Community Center, and connecting the entire south side with a paved trail from Waverly to Aurelius along the Consumers Energy right of way. That trail could merge with the south end of the river trail behind Joseph Maguire Park (along the Sycamore Creek), allowing SW residents access to the river trail.
> We want to hear input on the design, materials, amenities, and placement of the trail. We have some preliminary designs with very preliminary cost estimates, but no ideas are off the table. We expect, hope, that people will have cool ideas that we haven't thought of yet.
