I learned from listening to Mark Scherer's presentation last night at
the JWHA conference that until 1883, the RLDS church had spring and fall
general conferences. In 1882, it was proposed that the fall conference be
replaced with a church reunion, but it was voted down, with Joseph III
expressing dislike of that idea. In spring of 1883, however, the proposal
passed, so that the fall conference was replaced by an 8-day reunion that fall.
Last year, there were more than 60 Community of Christ reunions worldwide. Do
those count as fall conferences?

apart from the LDS

Anyone heard anything about what may be talked about
in the upcoming
conferences of the various Mormon / Restoration groups?
