      Hello everyone,

The Pectoral Sandpiper that has been present at the north end or the north
basin at the Pico Rivera Spreading Basins since Oct 17 or so is still
present as of 9AM November 1st.
There was also a female Hooded merganser in the narrow canal like ponds
just north of the north basin.
The basin can be accessed either from Pico Vista Ave., the east end of
Mines Blvd. or from Whittier Blvd. The easiest and closest entry gate is on
      Pico Vista.
The north basin continues to have excellent water levels for shorebirds and
      puddle ducks.
