Buff-breasted Sandpiper continues at Ballona Creek in Playa del Rey
- Greetings Birders,
Day 2 of Juvenile Buff-breasted Sandpiper which continues on Ballona Creek.
It was seen from approximately 7am to 8:50 am on both the north levee and south levee.
It was near the UCLA Boat House just east (inland) above the water line often amongst Marsh Daisy and Pickleplant. It is also amongst trash and leaf debris. It flew down creek briefly toward the sea, then back up the creek to just east of the UCLA boat house. At 8:50am I departed Walter Lamb. It was first noted this morning by Kevin Larson. Don Sterba and others also saw it.
