      Hi Eva,

What a pity, I am too far away to be able to see it.  I was in similar camp in Petworth, Sussex in 1947-8.  Many men from
our camp used to work on construction in Woking.

      Dear UK members,

There will be a foyer display at Surrey History Centre, 130 Goldsworth Road, Woking, Surrey, GU21 6ND on 26 March - 27 April where you can discover the unique story of the resettlement of Polish Allied Forces in Surrey after the Second World War.

Their story is told through the history of Tweedsmuir camp, near Thursley, just one of the disused army bases in Surrey that provided a temporary home for Polish families in Britain.

A permanet exhibition can be seen at the Rural Life Cenre, Tilford, Surrey.

For more information please see http://www.surreycc.gov.uk/events/woking/polish-exiles-in-surrey-after-world-war-two

      Best regards.
