Contact Pan Andrzej directly, do you speak good Polish? If not, then Google translate or write in English. Email him direct wolyn1939@... and discuss all this with him and also ask him where he gets his information from and ask about being directed to a link, so you can check on lands etc. he is very approachable and nice.
Best of luck
It is there.
Just find Markostaw.
But I think I have it figured out.
I am very impressed that he could so quickly identify not only my great grandparents but great uncle Michael, his birth year and the fact that he had been married before AND gave that woman's name!
However, I think I need to contact him.
I am not sure the wife of Stanislaw is correct as my father says her name was also Starzewska as he married a cousin.
She then died and he remarried. I think he may have the surname of that woman, not my blood ancestor.
But yet the first name is right.
I am wondering if he has any more information because supposedly Stanislaw had lands somewhere in the area. It would be wonderful to take it the next step but I think maybe that is beyond the realm of Kresy investigations and I dont want to impose.

Subject: RE: [Kresy-Siberia] Re: Valuable website in finding Wolyn families
I cannot find the information you referred to, it appears that the site has been updated already.
If there are any additions or corrections to be made, as Pan Andrzej Mielcarek, has limited English and most correspondence is done in Polish. Use the box at the bottom of the village page where it says FORMULARZ zgłoszenia rodziny i uzupełnienia danych click on this and it will take you to another page, where you fill in all the relevant details, village etc. including who you are and your email address. Then in the subject matter, write BLAD(this means error) and I find with corrections that I have made to my family, I write what the incorrect record is, including the Number.6 or 3 or ? copy the incorrect information and then write PLEASE CHANGE or CORRECTION then I write the corrected information like Stanislaw(male) my grandfather not Slanislawa(female). Or something like this. Then check the site up to 2 – 3 weeks, it will not be immediate, as there are many emails received from all over the world.
Write direct to wolyn1939@... and communicate directly with the co-ordinator Pan Andrzej Mielcarek.
Also - if information is received from a Parafia(Church record) and is considered a truthful source, it is included in the village and the date of inclusion is written at the bottom in the box, who put it there, the date and return email, or if it is information that the director found, then his name will appear. Please note, Mielcarek and Milczarek are not the same family, I enquired about this last year and was told, that perhaps many centuries ago and the letters in the name were changed as with all our names, the spelling gets mixed up. But at present, they are two completely different branches of family. Not connected.
Can anyone help me interpret the comments at the Wolyn site?
I am amazed at the additional information the editor produced. Some of it is very tantalizing!
For some reason the name Anrzej Mielcarek has now appeared and the notations link it to our family!
Is it saying that we are related?
Also the entry for "Stanislawa i Anny appears to be in error.
Stanislaw (not Stanislawa) was my great grandfather, Anna was his wife. Can this be corrected?
