My email address was spoofed yesterday, so please disregard any emails received as these were not from me, but a bot. I have taken care of this problem and apologize profusely. One thing I learned from this mess that I did not know previously: It is a good idea to periodically check your address book for your own email address. If your email address appears there, delete it.
A friendly reminder:
Never open attachments or links unless you are certain the sender actually sent them to you. When I send an attachment or link, I always sign the email. (I always sign my emails anyway.) It is easy to forget this sometimes, and we have all fallen into the trap, especially if we are corresponding with someone and have sent attachments or links back and forth frequently. Also carefully look at the subject line of the email. If it looks suspicious, do not open any attachments or click on any links contained, and delete the email.
Again, I do apologize, but this was beyond my control. Rest assured, I have taken care of the problem. I thank the friends/members who alerted me to the problem.
