Can you say which units and where were your relatives landed in the Red Army? Where were they posted to?
Linder's father also might have been 'picked up' so to speak and we are trying to establish a possibility of his being put into some unit of the Red Army. The question is where and why?
For my part I read and examined scores of accounts from Hoover and other sources when people sent me their statements or depositions as I call them, but I have not come across any definite accounts of this kind of recruitment.
I realize that conscription did take place after the ' wybory' - voting- even though it was forced in late 1939 and 1940.
As regards the deportations I tend to use the accounts of people connected with the Memorial and Karta.
I'll know more after reading some of them.
