Thank you for the date and info. I had an idea that it was not in 1939/40 period. I believe a different situation existed in those early days when occupation took place and no one knew what was happening.
When I read Eve's reply to another note re 'ethnic deportations' I began to re-read Russian notes issued by Polish Memorial - that is what they published originally in Russian in association with Karta-- I believe they are trustworthy publishers of information. I am trying to study what they are saying, but my Russian is a bit rusty, so it takes some time to sink in. When I read comments I try to relate them to a particular timeline and see what was happening at that period.
In the case of Linder's father's arrest and Cynthia's husband's arrest, both were unexplainable as they were in those early days of great confusion ie in 1939.
Eve pointed out that in fact there was no particular confussion and NKVD knew what they were up to in arresting people and they had a deffinite plan. I would like to see some support of her idea in statements by Memorial or Katra or even Alexander Guryanov, who I believe is a great stalwart of our cause.
Thank you once again.

her front or her side).

If you don't want to lose the original reference to Linder's back
